ALASKA WATER SEWER CHALLENGE CCHRC is working with the civil engineering company Dowl to test a prototype that can attach to an existing house and turn it from dry to wet. The module includes freshwater and wastewater treatment and recycles graywater for laundry, showers, and toilets.  It’s part of a contest through the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation to create affordable water and sewer solutions for rural communities that still use honey buckets.
